Why do we say secluded, but not remote?

Because you and your guests will enjoy nearly the same sense of privacy as if you had driven up into the foothills - but with much less stress if an “emergency” arises.

  • Last-minute necessities? Walmart and Costco are just on the other side of the interstate.

  • Need some extra sustenance prior to your start time? You can be served at a wide variety of nearby restaurants.

  • Need a caffeine fix? Pick up your favorite brew at the nearby Starbucks, Harbinger, or Dazbog coffee shops.

  • Guests arriving from out of town? The airport shuttle service drops off at the Harmony Transfer Center just a mile away.

  • Need Lodging for guests? The Cambria Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn, and Fairfield Inn & Suites South are within 2 miles of the Strauss Cabin Farmhouse.

If you’re looking for a more private space, a local Vrbo or Airbnb may be just the right place for you and your guests to call home.

  • Children have too much energy for the long day? We have a playground for small children on site and after a quick five-minute drive your young guests (and adults) can delight in the award-winning Twin Silo Park.

  • Need a quiet escape to pass the time? The Arapaho Bend Nature Area on Harmony Road is a short drive down the hill. A year-round, peaceful setting with convenient parking and a handicap-accessible walking path (so you don’t get your shoes dirty!)

  • Medical Emergency? Banner Medical Center is a quick mile away and UC Health Urgent Care is just another mile beyond that.
