GRAND OPENING STORY
The Story of the Church on Strauss Cabin Road
We wanted to create a peaceful place for people to come for counseling, when we saw Strauss Cabin Church, it felt like a gift. We could already see that it would be a great location for the counseling office. Before we’d even purchased the property, we had churches wanting to rent the sanctuary, which partnered beautifully with the counseling center offices that we began remodeling.
We felt like God had planted an idea in our hearts to create something that would serve our community. When we were still dreaming about building the farmhouse, we were so grateful for an architect who came alongside us to design what we were hopeful for. He had designed churches and other buildings locally, and he gave us the design for what we were hoping to create.
Once we had the picture for what we could create, we started stepping forward. We didn’t know how it would all come together, but we kept taking steps, one by one.
Admittedly, there was stress along the way. It wasn’t easy, and there were times that we felt like we were hanging on by our fingernails. We couldn’t have stuck with it without the encouragement of our friends and seeing the many answers to prayer. We kept trusting that God was leading us, and He kept providing open doors.
The Strauss Cabin Farmhouse is all about connecting life and love. Whether it be a wedding, a church service, a baby shower, or a networking meeting for the community to help provide hope to those who have lost theirs. We hope that Strauss Cabin Farmhouse will be a light in our little corner of the world.
